In honor of Memorial Day, I thought it would be great to have a writing prompt to keep Memorial Day fun going. So, no matter what you did yesterday, take yourself back a day and create the perfect holiday picinic.

Where would you go? What’s your favorite picnic spot?

Would you pack a picnic lunch or bring items to throw on the grill?

What are you drinking? Soda? Lemonade?

Who’s gonna be there with you? Will there be friends or family with you?

Will there be games? Badminton? Cornhole?

What else might you do? Play on a playground? Take out a canoe?

NOW… try something different! What’s a picnic like in a foreign land? What famous person would you like to have a picnic with? If you could eat a hamburger with someone from the past, who would it be and why?
